Staining procedure for thin blood film 1. When the blood smear is totally dry, arrange the slides on the slide rack, with the blood smear facing front. The slides must not be in contact with each other or else the stain will be flow off. 2. Cover each slide completely with 1-2ml of Leishman’s stain (undiluted) using Pasteur pipette and leave for around 45seconds. 3. Add the buffer. Mix the stain by blowing gently to and fro. 4.
